With more than 40 years of experience in the truck and trailer industry, Lion Truck Sales & Repair (PTY) Ltd has built a reputation based on reliability, industry knowledge, and hands-on expertise.
Our journey began as a family business in Syria, where the foundations of our trade were established. Through years of dedication and growth, we developed deep knowledge in used truck sales, repairs, and maintenance - knowledge that continues to shape our business today.
Expanding into Global Markets
In 2008, the business expanded internationally when the founding brothers relocated to Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. This strategic move positioned the company at the centre of global trade, allowing access to used trucks and spare parts sourced from around the world.
Operating from the UAE enabled the business to efficiently procure and re-export vehicles and components to key markets, strengthening relationships across the Middle East and Africa.
Establishing in South Africa
In September 2018, Lion Truck Sales & Repair (PTY) Ltd was established in South Africa as an auto trading and service company.
The business focuses on purchasing used trucks and auto spare parts - including vehicles that are no longer roadworthy - and preparing them for resale, repair, or export. Today, Lion Trucks supports markets across the UAE, Egypt, Syria, Sudan, Somalia, and other regions.
